Hastings, NE – Temperatures in Hastings remain below freezing overnight, but a dramatic warm-up is on the way for the first weekend of February. Residents can expect a sunny Friday with a high near 50°F before temperatures climb into the upper 50s by Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday night will bring clear skies with a low around 29°F, but the warming trend will continue into Saturday. A high of 56°F is forecast, with mild southwest winds up to 15 mph. By Sunday, Hastings could see highs near 58°F under partly sunny skies.
Despite the warming pattern, temperatures will drop sharply again Sunday night, with lows falling to 25°F. Monday will see cooler conditions, with highs around 41°F and mostly sunny skies before another dip into the teens Monday night.
The upcoming week will bring mostly cloudy conditions with highs in the 30s and overnight lows in the teens. Residents should take advantage of the weekend warmth before another cold spell sets in midweek.
