Palm Harbor, FL – Three61 LLC has recalled 328,000 Samurai Mini Smoke Alarms after reports of malfunctioning fire detection. The alarms, sold through HSN and its website between July 2020 and November 2024, may fail to alert users to fires.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), tests revealed the alarms could not detect smoke at pre-set levels. Eight incidents were reported, though no injuries occurred. The alarms pose a severe fire safety risk due to potential delayed evacuations.
The recall involves model SM1, a white and silver plastic device measuring 2.5 inches. Consumers should contact Three61 for a free replacement. Register at samuraibrands.com/recall and label your product with “Recalled” before submitting a photo.
Do not discard the lithium-ion batteries in household trash. Dispose of them following local hazardous waste guidelines. Customers should keep the recalled alarms installed until receiving replacements to maintain interim fire safety.
For more information, visit the CPSC’s website or contact Three61 directly. No injuries have been reported to date.
