NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee is closing out the workweek with clear skies and warm temperatures, giving residents a summer-like stretch to enjoy through Sunday. Highs will climb into the upper 80s with lows in the 50s and 60s, making for a pleasant and dry weekend across the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, rain chances remain at zero percent through Saturday and only a slight chance on Sunday. The first measurable risk for showers and thunderstorms develops Monday afternoon, with storm chances increasing Tuesday.

Cities from Clarksville to Murfreesboro can expect sunshine dominating the weekend, making it ideal for outdoor events, high school football, and Labor Day weekend travel. Commuters will see dry roadways through Sunday night, but slick travel conditions could develop as showers move in early next week.

Residents are urged to take advantage of the dry stretch to prepare for incoming storms by checking gutters, securing outdoor furniture, and planning for possible delays starting Monday evening.

Rain chances remain in the forecast through midweek, with the highest coverage expected Tuesday before tapering into Wednesday.
