NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Summer refuses to loosen its grip on Middle Tennessee, with temperatures holding steady in the 80s and little to no rain expected through early next week. That means anyone hoping for a true autumn chill will need to wait a bit longer.
According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, daily highs will stay between 75 and 86 degrees from Wednesday through Monday, with overnight lows dipping into the 50s and lower 60s. Rain chances remain near zero until at least Monday, when only a slight chance of showers could break the dry spell.
The stretch of sunshine and warmth will keep conditions drier than normal, raising concerns for parched lawns and ongoing drought in some counties. Roads and outdoor events will remain clear, but residents are urged to stay hydrated, limit strenuous afternoon activities, and be mindful of fire safety as humidity levels drop.
Forecasters note that longer-range outlooks continue to favor above-average temperatures well into mid-October, meaning fall weather isn’t arriving anytime soon.
