Nashville, TN – Cool, crisp autumn air continues across Middle Tennessee to close out the week, with patchy frost possible early Thursday and Friday mornings—especially along the Cumberland Plateau, according to the National Weather Service in Nashville.

Forecasters expect daytime highs in the low 60s to low 70s, with chilly overnight lows dipping into the upper 30s and 40s. The pleasant, dry pattern will shift this weekend as rain chances return Saturday and Sunday, marking the start of a wetter stretch that continues into early next week.

Rainfall is expected to remain light to moderate, with showers scattered across the region Saturday evening through Tuesday. Despite the return of rain, temperatures will hold near seasonal norms for late October, with highs staying in the 60s and lows in the 40s to lower 50s.

Residents are encouraged to cover or bring in sensitive plants overnight, as early morning frost could develop again Friday before cloud cover increases this weekend.
