Nashville, TN – Middle Tennessee residents woke up to a frosty Friday morning, with temperatures dipping near or below freezing in several rural areas, according to the National Weather Service in Nashville. This marks the coldest morning of the season so far, ushering in a shift toward true autumn weather.
Forecasters say Friday and Saturday will remain mostly dry with mild daytime highs in the low to upper 60s, but conditions will change by Sunday, when showers are expected to return. Rain chances rise to 50–80% from Sunday through early next week as a new system moves across the region.
Morning lows will gradually moderate, ranging from the mid-30s Friday to the upper 40s by Monday, while daytime highs will stay near seasonal averages in the 60s. The wet pattern could persist through Wednesday, with cooler-than-normal conditions expected midweek.
The NWS encourages residents to protect sensitive plants and outdoor items from frost and stay updated on local forecasts as the wetter stretch approaches.
