Nashville, TN – Tennesseans are in for a warm and humid Friday, with scattered thunderstorms expected across much of the state. The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a forecast indicating that while some storms may become strong, the overall severe threat remains low, rated at just 1 out of 5. However, residents should be prepared for damaging straight-line winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall.

Temperatures are predicted to soar, with Nashville expected to reach a high of 93°F. Similar temperatures are forecasted across the state, including Clarksville at 92°F and Columbia potentially hitting 95°F. The humidity will add to the discomfort, making it feel even warmer.

According to the National Weather Service, the highest chances for precipitation will be in the afternoon and evening hours. While the severe storm risk is minimal, localized heavy rain and strong winds could still cause disruptions, especially during the evening commute.

Looking ahead, the weather is expected to calm over the weekend, with temperatures dropping slightly. Saturday should see partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 80s, while Sunday is forecasted to be sunny and slightly cooler, with highs in the mid-80s. The upcoming week promises more stable conditions with clear skies and temperatures gradually cooling into the low 80s and high 70s by midweek.
