Nashville, Tenn. – Mild temperatures in the mid-60s will draw crowds outdoors across Middle Tennessee this weekend, but a 40 percent rain chance by Sunday night could lead to wet pavement along I-40 and I-65 before the Monday morning commute.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, dry and seasonably warm conditions will hold through Saturday, with highs reaching 66 to 67 degrees across Davidson, Williamson and Rutherford counties. Morning lows will dip into the mid-30s to near 40 degrees, creating cool starts but no widespread frost concerns.

Sunshine dominates through Saturday afternoon, offering ideal conditions for travel along I-24 and Briley Parkway. Winds will remain light, and no hazardous weather is expected during the peak weekend hours.

Changes begin late Sunday as moisture increases ahead of the next system. Rain chances climb to around 40 percent Sunday night and continue into Monday. While widespread heavy rainfall is not anticipated, scattered showers could produce slick stretches on major roadways, particularly during the early Monday drive into downtown Nashville.

Highs will remain in the 50s and lower 60s into early next week, keeping temperatures above seasonal averages. Drivers should allow extra travel time if showers develop and remain alert for reduced visibility during heavier bursts.

Additional updates are possible if rainfall coverage increases Sunday night into Monday across Middle Tennessee.
