Nashville, TN – Four teenagers were arrested Thursday evening at The Mall at Green Hills after police say a retail theft investigation led to the discovery of guns and drugs inside a parked vehicle.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department’s TITANS Unit, detectives spotted an Acura TLX linked to a December shoplifting incident near Clarksville Pike. Police say the driver, 18-year-old Keymonte Nelson, was recognized as a suspect in a December 27 theft at Nordstrom, where he and another individual allegedly stole shoes and jeans.

Detectives followed the vehicle to the Nordstrom parking garage at the Green Hills mall, where the group parked and went inside the store. When the four returned to the vehicle, officers took Nelson, 19-year-old Marcello Thomas Jr., 18-year-old Coreyon Williams, and a 17-year-old into custody.

Police said Williams had outstanding warrants for aggravated assault and weapon possession stemming from a November incident in which a woman was allegedly pistol-whipped and shot in the shoulder.

A search of the Acura reportedly uncovered a rifle equipped with a switch, making it fully automatic, along with a handgun, marijuana, burglary tools, and multiple vehicle key fobs, according to police.

Investigators said Nelson was already out on a $28,000 bond from a November arrest, where he was charged with domestic assault and aggravated assault for allegedly strangling his girlfriend. He now faces additional charges including felony marijuana possession, felony weapon possession, drug paraphernalia, bond release violation, and theft. Nelson was released on a $57,500 bond.

Thomas was charged with felony marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia, and theft, and remains jailed on $22,500 bond.

Williams faces charges including felony weapon possession, possession of a prohibited weapon, marijuana possession, and drug paraphernalia. He remains jailed on $92,000 bond.

The 17-year-old was charged in Davidson County Juvenile Court with marijuana possession, felony weapon possession, and juvenile handgun possession.
