Nashville, TN – A fatal crash on I-40 West at the Briley Parkway exit Thursday night claimed the life of Justin Fortner, 35, of Joelton.

According to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County, the preliminary investigation shows a group of motorcyclists was exiting onto Briley Parkway northbound, followed by a Buick Enclave. The Buick’s driver reported that a truck, possibly a semi, struck Fortner, who was then thrown from his motorcycle. The Buick also sustained front-end damage from the impact. Officers are corroborating the Buick driver’s account.
