Nashville, TN – A 23-year-old woman has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that killed a motorcyclist on Old Hickory Boulevard Tuesday night, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

Police said Jordyn Walker of Hendersonville surrendered Friday night and admitted to being the driver of the Mercedes sedan involved in the crash. She is charged with vehicular homicide by reckless conduct, leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death, failure to render aid, and evidence tampering.

According to investigators, Walker allegedly struck motorcyclist James Sellars, 33, of Hendersonville, from behind while he was stopped at a red light. The impact pushed Sellars into the intersection, where he hit a traffic light pole. He died at the scene.

Detectives located Walker’s Mercedes on Wednesday in the 3400 block of Lebanon Pike. Police said she remains jailed on $81,000 bond.

The crash remains under investigation.
