Nashville, TN – An early-morning shooting near a South Nashville nightclub left one man dead and three others injured, prompting an all-day police investigation and the arrest of two suspects, authorities said.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the shooting occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday, December 28, 2025, in a parking lot near an after-hours bar at 486 Bell Road. A 31-year-old man was fatally shot during what investigators described as a gunfight involving multiple people.

Police identified the suspects as Angel Lucatero, 27, and Devon Hill, 26, who were taken into custody later that day. Both men are charged with three counts of attempted murder for allegedly firing toward three individuals in the parking lot. One of the victims, a 22-year-old man, was struck in the buttocks and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said Lucatero and Hill told detectives they exchanged gunfire with the deceased victim in self-defense, claiming the man reached for a pistol first. The homicide portion of the case remains under investigation and will be reviewed by the District Attorney’s Office, police said.

Detectives were able to identify the suspects after reviewing surveillance video from the scene, which captured the license plate of the getaway vehicle, according to police. Additional surveillance later placed both men together at a storage facility on Murfreesboro Pike, where they were arrested without incident.

Efforts are ongoing to locate and notify the deceased man’s next of kin. No additional suspects are currently being sought.

The investigation remains active as authorities continue to review evidence and witness statements.
