According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, Kaden Chapman of Crossville was traveling eastbound on Korean Veterans Boulevard near 4th Avenue South when a Toyota Yaris turned left in front of his KTM Duke motorcycle. The impact threw Chapman from his motorcycle.

Authorities said Chapman was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died Monday evening. Investigators reported no signs of impairment at the scene.

Police said the driver of the Toyota Yaris, a 22-year-old, was cited for failure to yield resulting in serious injury. The Davidson County District Attorney’s Office will review the case, and charges are expected to be amended following Chapman’s death.
