Nashville, TN – Tennessee residents should prepare for a day of severe weather, including heavy rain and a potential for tornadoes, according to the National Weather Service in Nashville. Rainy conditions are expected from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., followed by partly cloudy skies until 11 a.m. The afternoon will see thunderstorms, with the highest risk west of I-65. Temperatures will climb to a high of 92 degrees, with heat index values around 100 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service, the main threats today include heavy rain and a low-end risk for tornadoes. The severe weather outlook for Tuesday indicates that areas along and west of I-65 are at a slight risk (level 2) for severe thunderstorms. These storms are expected to begin around noon and could last until 8 p.m. Residents are advised to stay weather-aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings.

The weather will remain hot throughout the week, with highs ranging from 86 to 94 degrees. Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 86 degrees, while Thursday through Monday will see temperatures near or above 90 degrees with clear skies. The air quality index is currently at 47, indicating good conditions.
