Nashville, TN – The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for all of Middle Tennessee early Saturday morning, warning drivers of visibility reduced to one-quarter mile or less in many areas.
The advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. CST, covering cities including Nashville, Clarksville, Murfreesboro, Columbia, and Cookeville. Dense fog has been reported along major routes such as I-24, I-40, and I-65, where travel could become hazardous during the early morning commute.
Meteorologists caution motorists to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and allow extra distance between vehicles. Visibility may fluctuate rapidly between clear and dense fog pockets, especially near rivers, valleys, and low-lying areas.
Conditions are expected to improve by mid-morning as fog lifts and sunlight returns, though isolated patches may linger in shaded or rural areas.
This morning’s fog event follows a calm and humid overnight period, typical of early November weather across the region.
