Naperville Shooting: Bolingbrook Man Targeted in Early Morning Attack

Naperville, IL – A Bolingbrook man was shot early Sunday morning during an altercation in Naperville. 

According to the Naperville Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 5:12 a.m. in the 1500 block of Watkins Lane. Three individuals were reportedly involved in an argument in a parking lot when a gunshot was heard, and the suspects fled the scene on foot.

The police discovered evidence of the shooting upon arrival and later identified the victim, who had transported himself to a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Authorities state that his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Preliminary investigations indicate that this was an isolated incident, not a random act, and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
