Naperville, IL – The Naperville Police Department announced a temporary suspension of the city’s overnight parking ordinance for the Independence Day holiday.

Residents can park on city streets overnight beginning Thursday night into Friday and continuing through Sunday night into Monday morning. According to the department, enforcement of the ordinance will resume at 2 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9. The decision aims to accommodate the influx of visitors and residents celebrating the Fourth of July.

Officials remind residents to adhere to other parking regulations and to celebrate responsibly. This temporary relief provides greater convenience for residents and guests during the holiday festivities.
