Naperville, Ill. — This week, four Naperville Police Officers began the 21st Annual Cycle Across Illinois to honor fallen law enforcement officers. The four-day, 385-mile ride shows support for the officers’ families and those who have lost their lives in service.
The four officers started the trip on Thursday, July 10. Officer Stephanie Harvis, officer Katie Moore, Officer Mike Courtier and Sergeant Mike Umbenhower are participating in the awareness event.
The annual Cycle Across Illinois event raises awareness for the Illinois Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors. The non-profit organization helps surviving family members of officers who died while in the line of duty.
