According to the Naperville Police Department, the crash happened around 10:01 p.m. near the intersection of N. Naper Boulevard and Plank Road. Police and the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a black 2016 Harley Davidson Fat Bob. Emergency crews found the motorcycle on its side with heavy damage and the rider unresponsive. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators said the preliminary findings show the Harley Davidson was traveling northbound on N. Naper Boulevard toward Plank Road when it left the roadway and struck a fence. The reason for the motorcycle veering off the road remains under investigation.
