Naperville, IL – Firefighters Battle Blaze Causing $300K in Damages at Vacant Home

Naperville, IL — Firefighters successfully extinguished a fire at a vacant home early Monday morning. The Naperville Emergency Communications Center received a call at 3:41 a.m. about smoke in the area of 75th Street and Wehrli Road. Upon arrival, Engine 2 reported a fully involved structure fire, prompting an upgrade to a general alarm at 3:51 a.m.

According to the Naperville Fire Department, the fire caused an estimated $300,000 in damages. The blaze was brought under control within 90 minutes despite restricted access due to heavy overgrowth. One firefighter sustained minor injuries but was released after evaluation. The house was deemed uninhabitable, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
