Naperville, IL – At 3:50 a.m. on Tuesday, a fire broke out on the 2700 block of Willow Ridge Drive. Naperville’s Emergency Communications Center (ECC) dispatched multiple units, including engines, ladder trucks, and medic units.
According to the ECC, first responders arrived at 3:57 a.m. and reported heavy fire at the rear of the home, extending into the attic. Four individuals were home but exited safely before firefighters arrived. The fire was contained within 90 minutes.
Fire operations included defensive tactics using multiple handlines and elevated master streams. Additional firefighters were called as the alarm escalated. The Naperville Fire Department’s drone team assisted in locating active and hidden fires.
The fire department was assisted by Naperville Police, Electric Department, Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District, Bolingbrook Fire Department, and others. The cause is under investigation. Damages to the home are estimated at $800,000. No injuries were reported, but the home was deemed uninhabitable by the city’s development team.
