Mystery in Detroit: Infant Found Abandoned on Virginia Park, Public’s Help Needed

Detroit, MI – An early morning discovery of an infant in the 3200 block of Virginia Park has led to a citywide call for information from the Detroit Police Department.

A passerby found the baby girl alone and immediately alerted the authorities. Police arrived quickly to secure the child, who was found to be in good health but with no identification or clues as to her origins.

According to the Detroit Police Department, efforts are underway to locate the child’s parents or guardians. Investigators are combing through surveillance footage and canvassing the neighborhood for any leads.

The police are appealing to the public for any information that might assist in identifying the infant and reuniting her with her family. Citizens are encouraged to contact the 10th precinct at 313-596-1000 if they have any information.
