Murder-Suicide in Nashville: Couple Found Dead Outside Home

Nashville, TN – A Nashville couple was found dead in an apparent murder-suicide early Saturday morning outside a home in the 4400 block of Cato Road. The victims have been identified as Heather Nelson, 42, and her boyfriend, Christopher Minchey, 51.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 2 a.m. Witnesses reported that the couple had a heated argument before Minchey fatally shot Nelson and then turned the gun on himself. A neighbor stated that Nelson walked to the end of the driveway with Minchey following her before gunshots were heard. Nelson reportedly fell forward first, followed by Minchey. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation revealed no prior involvement with the couple by the police department’s Domestic Violence Division. The tragic incident has shocked the local community, with neighbors expressing their sorrow over the loss.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The police department urges anyone with additional information to come forward.
