Portland, OR – Two men were arrested Tuesday after deputies in Multnomah County seized firearms, drugs, and drug-manufacturing equipment during a search of a Gresham home, authorities said.

According to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), deputies and the East Metro SWAT Team executed a court-authorized search warrant on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at a residence in the 2500 block of Northwest 4th Street in Gresham. The operation also involved the MCSO Logistics Evidence Unit and MCSO detectives.

Investigators said the case began after a series of community complaints about suspected illegal activity at the property. During the search, deputies allegedly recovered six rifles, a bulletproof vest, cocaine, methamphetamine, and materials used for drug manufacturing.

Two suspects were arrested at the scene. According to MCSO, 49-year-old Tai Nguyen was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center (MCDC) on one count each of unlawful manufacture of cocaine, unlawful distribution of cocaine, and unlawful possession of cocaine.

Deputies also arrested 76-year-old Craig Larson, who was booked on one count each of unlawful manufacture of cocaine, unlawful distribution of cocaine, unlawful possession of cocaine, and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Sheriff Nicole Morrisey O’Donnell said the arrests reflect the agency’s commitment to reducing community violence. “Their continued efforts to remove illegally possessed firearms and drugs reflects our ongoing commitment to protecting the public,” she said.

MCSO noted that additional charges may be considered by the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office as the investigation continues. All charges are only allegations, and both men are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
