BOURBONNAIS – The first actual snowfall of the winter brought with it several accidents, including resulting in multiple semi-trailers losing their way from the roadway.
According to State Police, several accidents occurred on the interstate overnight. Most involved vehicles sliding off the roadways, including multiple semi-trailers overturning on I-57 near the Bradley-Bourbonnais exit 315 overnight.
“Three crashes involving a truck tractor semi-trailers just occurred very close to one another at that location.” State troopers said in a statement Wednesday morning, referring to the exit area.
More minor accidents occurred throughout municipalities in the area, however, none were severe with road conditions improving throughout the area.
