Mount Vernon, IL – A juvenile was arrested early Wednesday after allegedly attempting to burglarize three smoke-related businesses.
According to the Mount Vernon Police Department, officers first responded to alarms at Thrive Dispensary and Smoke Smart, finding damage to the doors. Video footage provided a description of the suspect, who was later spotted near the CBD Wellness Center. The juvenile fled on a bicycle and then on foot before being apprehended. He faces charges of attempted burglary and resisting arrest. The suspect, already on probation and out past curfew, was taken to a juvenile detention center. His identity is withheld due to his age.
