Cassopolis, MI – A motorcycle crash in Jefferson Township injured a 31-year-old man from Three Rivers, Michigan, on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck at Pine Lake Street and Hess Road at around 2:45 p.m. The motorcyclist, identified as Patrick Davis, was riding northbound on Hess Road when he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a truck driven by 53-year-old Robert Tiser of Cassopolis. Davis was transported by SMCAS ambulance to Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the crash, and officials noted that Davis was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Ontwa Township Edwardsburg Police Department, SMCAS Ambulance, and Edwardsburg Fire Department assisted at the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
