Morgan County, AL – A stolen vehicle reported earlier this month in Morgan County has been recovered, and a suspect is now in custody following a traffic stop in neighboring Guntersville, according to authorities.
According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, investigators received a report of a stolen vehicle in the Somerville area on Sunday, January 19. During the investigation, deputies were able to identify a suspect and obtain an arrest warrant connected to the theft.
On Friday, January 23, officers with the Guntersville Police Department located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was taken into custody without incident, officials said.
Investigators arrested Erika Nicole Blocker, 41, of Auburndale, Florida, in connection with the case. Blocker is charged with Theft of Property in the First Degree and Forgery – Forged Instrument, both felony offenses under Alabama law.
Blocker was transported to the Morgan County Jail, where she was booked and held on a $7,500 bond, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities confirmed the stolen vehicle has since been returned to its rightful owner.
Arrest records are considered public information. An arrest does not indicate guilt, and all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The case remains under investigation, and no additional details were released Friday.
