Mooresville, IN – An emergency response involving Mooresville police, fire crews, and EMS Tuesday evening resulted in a successful life-saving rescue after an unresponsive man was found inside an RV near a garage.
According to the Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched on the evening of Tuesday, January 7, following a report of an unconscious male. Upon arrival, officers located the individual inside an RV and found him unresponsive.
Police immediately began life-saving measures, initiating CPR and administering multiple doses of Narcan. An automated external defibrillator (AED) was also deployed in an effort to revive the individual.
The Mooresville Fire Department arrived shortly after and assumed patient care. Fire personnel provided advanced medical interventions and worked alongside responding medics to establish IV access and deploy additional emergency equipment.
Due to the confined location of the patient inside the RV, responders coordinated efforts to safely move the individual to a more accessible area to continue treatment.
Officials confirmed the patient regained a return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) before being transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further medical care.
The police department released the statement to clarify public speculation surrounding an emergency escort provided to Brown Township Fire & EMS, emphasizing the coordinated response and medical nature of the incident.
Authorities have not released additional information about the individual’s condition or the circumstances leading up to the medical emergency.
