Montgomery County, TX – A section of FM 149 near FM 1375 is temporarily shut down as authorities respond to a roadway spill Friday afternoon.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), deputies are assisting with traffic control while awaiting crews from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to handle cleanup operations.
The closure affects traffic in both directions, and drivers are urged to seek alternate routes to avoid delays and allow workers to safely complete cleanup efforts. Officials have not released details about the nature of the spill or how long the closure may last.
Motorists traveling through the Montgomery County area, particularly near the Sam Houston National Forest, should plan for possible detours and expect travel delays until the roadway reopens.
