Conroe, TX – Two people were taken into custody Sunday night after a disturbance involving firearms in Montgomery County, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies from District 4 West Patrol responded around 6:45 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2026, to a high-priority call reporting a disturbance involving firearms in the 25300 block of Yellowbells Place.

Investigators said the incident began as a verbal altercation involving several juveniles. Authorities allege the situation escalated when a 16-year-old male juvenile left the area and later returned in a blue Honda passenger vehicle with other individuals.

According to deputies, the juvenile allegedly exited the vehicle and brandished a firearm, threatening to shoot other juveniles before fleeing back into the car.

Deputies located and searched the blue Honda shortly after the incident. During the search, investigators recovered multiple firearms and ammunition from the vehicle. Authorities later confirmed that one of the firearms had been reported stolen.

As a result of the investigation, two individuals were arrested.

The juvenile suspect was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Theft of a Firearm, according to the sheriff’s office. Due to the suspect’s age, his identity has not been released.

The driver and owner of the vehicle was identified as 18-year-old Jaidyn Ames, who was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, authorities said.

No injuries were reported in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges could be filed pending further review.
