According to the Sheriff’s Office, around 11:00 p.m. a deputy assigned to The Woodlands Township observed a BMW passenger car and a Chevrolet pickup truck lining up at the intersection of Research Forest Drive, appearing to prepare for a race. When the light turned green, both vehicles allegedly accelerated at high speed, attempting to outdistance one another down the roadway.

The deputy initiated a traffic stop, and both drivers pulled over without incident. Following an investigation, the drivers were identified as 18-year-old Nicolas Brezovar of The Woodlands and 26-year-old Caleb Eaves of Magnolia. Both men were arrested and charged with Racing on a Highway. Their vehicles were impounded, and both were booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
