Montgomery County, TX – Authorities are asking for the public’s help to locate a suspect accused of fleeing after a major multi-agency vehicle theft recovery operation uncovered ten stolen vehicles earlier this week.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the joint effort—led by the Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force (ATTF) and the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS)—took place on January 8, 2026. Investigators tracked 34-year-old Justin Blake Bowman, who allegedly had an outstanding felony warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Deputies attempted to intercept Bowman at a Montgomery County property, but he reportedly fled in a truck towing another stolen vehicle. After a pursuit by Harris County Precinct 4 Constables, Bowman allegedly abandoned the vehicle and ran on foot. Despite an extensive search, he remains at large.

Authorities confirmed the truck and trailer Bowman was driving had both been reported stolen out of Harris County. Further investigation led to the recovery of seven additional stolen vehicles, bringing the total to ten.

Bowman is described as a white male, 6’1″, 150 pounds, and is wanted on felony warrants.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact:

  • Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force: 936-538-5124 (Mon–Fri, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.)
  • MCSO Dispatch: 936-538-5900 (After hours)
  • Multi-County Crime Stoppers: 1-800-392-7867 (Anonymous tips)

Officials caution the public not to approach Bowman if seen.
