The Woodlands, TX – Multiple neighborhoods in The Woodlands are seeing relief today after deputies arrested a man allegedly connected to more than 20 overnight vehicle burglaries reported this week.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the string of break-ins happened early Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at two apartment complexes on Holly Creek and South Panther Creek. Deputies say the burglaries began around 1:30 a.m., prompting The Woodlands Township Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) to launch an investigation.

Within 10 hours, investigators reportedly identified a suspect vehicle and later identified the alleged suspect as Cornelius Graves. Deputies obtained an arrest warrant the same day, linking Graves to the series of burglaries.

On Thursday, November 20, 2025, at about 8:30 a.m., CRU deputies located Graves in Harris County with assistance from Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office. According to deputies, the arrest occurred roughly 30 hours after the initial reports. Several items believed to be stolen were recovered, and law enforcement is working to return property to victims.

Deputies also noted that Graves allegedly has an extensive criminal history, including prior charges of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon by a Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and other offenses. He is also documented as a gang member with the Houston Police Department, according to the sheriff’s office.

In total, 23 cases of Burglary of Motor Vehicle and Criminal Mischief were filed in connection with Wednesday’s incidents.

Authorities are urging residents in The Woodlands and surrounding Montgomery County communities to ensure vehicles are locked and valuables are removed, as investigations continue.
