Montgomery County, TX – Authorities in Montgomery County recovered $150,000 worth of stolen vehicles this week following a multi-agency investigation into an alleged organized crime operation.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the operation targeted Underground Performance LLC and was led by the Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force in partnership with several agencies, including the U.S. Marshals, DPS/CID, and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
During the execution of two search warrants, investigators recovered approximately $150,000 in stolen vehicles, $15,000 in stolen parts, and two firearms.
Three individuals were charged in connection with the case:
- Devin Lane Mott, 21, arrested and charged with Engaging in Organized Crime and Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
- Chadrick Craft, 24, arrested and charged with Engaging in Organized Crime.
- Jason Mott, 46, served with a warrant for Engaging in Organized Crime while already in custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
“The success of this operation is a testament to the hard work and collaboration of all the agencies involved,” Sheriff Wesley Doolittle said in a statement, thanking partners who assisted in the months-long investigation.
The Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force, which receives funding and training from the Texas Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority, coordinated the effort.
