Montgomery, AL – Two Montgomery men were convicted by a federal jury this week for operating a violent sex trafficking ring that targeted women and girls across multiple states between 2016 and 2020, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Federal prosecutors said Kimani “Statik” Jones, 32, and Tremayne “Bayrock” Lambert, 50, coerced several victims — including minors — into performing commercial sex acts through threats, violence, and manipulation with addictive drugs.
According to the DOJ, Jones led the operation, renting hotel rooms for sex acts, creating online advertisements, and using drugs and threats to maintain control over victims. Evidence presented during trial showed Jones violently assaulted multiple victims, broke bones, brandished firearms, and used threats against family members to instill fear.
Lambert, Jones’s biological father, acted as a monitor and enforcer, helping maintain control over the victims, investigators said. Three additional co-defendants have already pleaded guilty for their roles in the trafficking enterprise.
Both defendants face a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and up to life in prison, pending sentencing by a federal judge.
The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the Alabama Attorney General’s Office, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and the Montgomery Police Department.
Authorities encourage anyone with information on human trafficking to contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or visit humantraffickinghotline.org.
