Glasgow, MT – The National Weather Service in Glasgow is warning residents across northeast Montana to prepare for snowy and bitterly cold conditions through the Thanksgiving weekend, with major travel impacts expected.
According to the NWS, snow and ice-covered roads will continue early this week before another winter system arrives late Thursday into Friday, bringing widespread accumulating snow. The heaviest snowfall is expected Friday into Friday night, especially across eastern and central Montana.
Following the storm, temperatures will plunge — with lows near zero degrees by Saturday morning, and wind chills likely below freezing across much of the region.
Travelers are urged to pack a winter survival kit, check road conditions at 511MT.net, and monitor updated forecasts before departing. Even minor delays could be dangerous given the expected cold.
