Montana Weather Alert: Showers and Cooler Temps This Weekend

Glasgow, MT – Northeast Montana residents should prepare for changing weather this weekend as rain chances increase and temperatures dip into the 50s by Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Glasgow, today (Thursday) will remain warm with highs near 80°F under partly cloudy skies. Tonight, a slight chance of showers is expected after midnight, with lows around 53°F.

Friday will bring mostly cloudy conditions with a high near 80°F before showers begin to move in overnight. Meteorologists report a 30 percent chance of rain Friday night, increasing to 40 percent Saturday and Saturday night, accompanied by gusty north winds reaching 23 mph.

By Sunday, conditions will cool significantly with highs only reaching the upper 50s. Winds from the northwest could gust up to 24 mph, keeping skies partly to mostly clear through Sunday night.

The new workweek looks drier, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 60s Monday and Tuesday.

Residents traveling across Valley County, including Glasgow and surrounding communities, should plan for possible slick roads during overnight rain periods and be prepared for sudden temperature shifts.
