Monroe County, MI – A worker died early Monday morning following a serious industrial accident at the Stellantis Dundee Engine Plant in Monroe County. The incident occurred around 1:25 AM on April 7, 2025, when deputies responded to reports of an accident at the plant located on Ann Arbor Road.
Upon arrival, deputies found a 62-year-old male employee from Detroit who had been severely injured by a machine while working on the assembly line. The victim was immediately transported to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) has been notified and will investigate the incident. The Monroe Community Ambulance and Dundee Fire Department also responded to the scene.
The Washtenaw County Medical Examiner’s Office is handling further inquiries related to the incident.
