Bloomington, IN – Four suspects were arrested early Sunday morning after Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies, working with Pontiac, Illinois Police, stopped two vehicles allegedly tied to a multi-state ATM theft ring.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the arrests occurred around 1:30 a.m. on November 23, 2025, after deputies located a black Toyota Corolla and a silver Kia Sorento on State Road 45 near S. Leonard Springs Road. The vehicles, which carried out-of-state plates, were reportedly linked to multiple ATM thefts in Illinois and Michigan.
Deputies initiated traffic stops with help from an Indiana State Trooper in neighboring Morgan County. Authorities said probable cause was established during the stops, leading to the arrests of all occupants for Level 6 Felony Organized Theft.
The suspects were identified as Kevin O. Palaciostera (26, Newark, NJ), Deiverson Viloria-Sanchez (20, Haltom, TX), Giovany Moreno Santamaria (Appleton, WI), and Jose Angarita Turizo (35, Transient). Palaciostera also faces misdemeanor charges for marijuana possession and driving without a valid license.
Officials said the suspects were also seen in Fishers and Noblesville, prompting coordination with local agencies. The FBI has been notified due to possible financial fraud connections. Deputies reported recovering evidence including a “Master” ATM key believed to bypass machine alarms and security systems.
