Mokena, IL – Families in Mokena can mark their calendars for a day of community excitement as the Mokena Fire Protection District hosts its annual Family Fun Day this summer.
According to a social media post by the Mokena Fire Protection District, the event will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fire Station #1, located at 19853 S. Wolf Road. This free event will include a range of interactive activities, including water ball, a chance for kids to dress up as firefighters, and explore emergency vehicles up close with the popular “Touch a Truck” feature.
A free lunch will also be provided to attendees. The fire district noted that no registration is required — families are welcome to drop in anytime during the event hours.
Organizers say the Family Fun Day is designed to strengthen community ties and provide educational opportunities for children to engage with local first responders in a fun and informal setting.
