St. Louis, MO – The National Weather Service in St. Louis reports that a light rain system will gradually move into Missouri this weekend, bringing the best chance for measurable rainfall to areas south of I-70 on Sunday.
Forecasters say rain chances will rise to 60–90% across central and southeast Missouri, including communities near Rolla, Farmington, and Poplar Bluff. Areas north of I-70, including the St. Louis metro and Columbia, may see little to no precipitation.
Rainfall totals are expected to remain under 0.50 inch for most locations, with periods of dry weather dominating much of the weekend north of the main storm track. Temperatures will stay seasonably cool, with highs in the mid-50s to low 60s typical for late October.
The NWS notes that no severe weather is expected, but damp conditions may affect outdoor plans on Sunday, especially in southern parts of the state.
