Missouri Weekend Weather: Highs Near 97 Degrees, Thunderstorms Possible

St. Louis, MO – Expect a significant warm-up in Missouri through Sunday, with high temperatures and occasional thunderstorms. The US National Weather Service in St. Louis forecasts highs ranging from 82 to 97 degrees from Thursday to Sunday.

According to the NWS, today will see highs between 82 and 90 degrees, with a 20-40% chance of thunderstorms. This pattern continues into Friday, with temperatures climbing to 85-91 degrees and similar chances of showers.

Saturday brings even higher temperatures, expected to reach 89-95 degrees, alongside potential thunderstorms. However, despite the chances of rain, there will be ample dry time throughout the weekend. Sunday will be the hottest day, with temperatures soaring to 92-97 degrees.

Morning lows will stay relatively mild, between the mid-60s and mid-70s, offering brief respite from the daytime heat.

St. Louis residents should prepare for moderate air quality, with an index of 57, which is worse than the previous day. Winds will be light, coming from the south-southwest at 3 mph, with gusts up to 5 mph.

Next week, the heat persists with Monday’s high at 96 degrees, and temperatures in the mid-90s through Tuesday. A slight cooling trend begins Wednesday, with a high of 85 degrees and a 40% chance of rain.
