According to the National Weather Service, the area will see clear skies through midweek, but a weather shift begins Thursday afternoon. A 50% chance of rain increases to 70% by Thursday evening, with widespread rain expected to linger into Friday morning. This marks the first measurable precipitation in nearly three weeks, impacting evening commutes on major routes like I-64 and I-70.

High temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday will hover around52°F, with nighttime lows dropping to the mid-30s. By Friday, temperatures will remain mild in the low 50s but could bring isolated thunderstorms. The weekend offers a return to partly sunny skies and a high near 46°F.
