St. Louis, Missouri – Cooler air has settled back into eastern Missouri today, but the chill won’t last long as a week of temperature swings takes shape across the region with mostly dry conditions.

According to the National Weather Service in St. Louis, temperatures today are running about 5 to 10 degrees colder than yesterday, with highs generally in the upper 30s to near 40. Northwest winds are easing through the day, allowing for plenty of sunshine and calmer conditions compared to recent blustery weather.

A gradual warm-up begins Monday, with highs rebounding into the upper 40s and lower 50s under partly cloudy skies. Tuesday stands out as the warmest day of the week, when temperatures are expected to climb into the upper 50s to around 60 across much of eastern Missouri and southwest Illinois, including the St. Louis metro area.

Clouds increase again midweek as cooler air returns. Highs drop back into the 40s Wednesday, followed by an even colder Thursday, which is shaping up to be the coldest day of the workweek with highs in the mid-30s to near 40. Despite the temperature changes, conditions remain mostly dry through Friday.

Residents should prepare for fluctuating temperatures and cool mornings throughout the week. Additional updates may follow if weather patterns shift or precipitation chances increase.
