Kansas City, MO – Kansas City is facing an intense heatwave starting Saturday, with temperatures climbing throughout the weekend. On Monday, residents should prepare for the most extreme heat, with highs predicted to reach 100 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service in Kansas City, storms will move eastward across Kansas into Missouri on Saturday, bringing hot and humid conditions in their wake. While severe storms are not expected, the region will experience escalating temperatures and humidity levels.

Saturday’s high will hit around 93 degrees, with Sunday seeing a rise to 98 degrees. By Monday, temperatures will peak at 100 degrees, making it one of the hottest days of the week. The heatwave will begin to ease by Thursday, with a slight cooldown bringing highs of 89 degrees.

The rest of the week will see a gradual decrease in temperatures, reaching a more comfortable 81 degrees by Friday. However, the nights will remain warm, with lows hovering in the upper 70s early in the week. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
