According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, a slight chance of snow continues through mid-morning before gradual clearing begins. Highs climb to 43 degrees with north winds 8 to 10 mph and gusts near 20 mph. Wind chills dip into the lower 20s at times, adding a biting edge to the air.

Sunday brings sunshine but cooler air, with highs near 39 and gusts up to 28 mph. Sunday night drops sharply to 15 degrees. Monday remains sunny with a high near 38 before a strong warmup unfolds Tuesday. Highs jump to 61 Tuesday and push toward the upper 60s by Wednesday.
