Springfield, MO – Above-normal temperatures will persist across Missouri this weekend, offering mild conditions before rain moves in Sunday afternoon. A warming trend will bring highs into the upper 50s today and tomorrow, creating pleasant outdoor conditions for much of the state.

According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, dry weather will hold through Saturday night, but rain chances climb to 40%-70% on Sunday, with the highest chances east of Highway 65. Showers are expected to develop in the afternoon, persisting into the evening. Residents are advised to have umbrellas handy for outdoor plans and monitor updates for localized rainfall timing.

Today’s high will range from 54 to 59 degrees under sunny skies, with gusty southwest winds reaching 25 mph. Tonight’s low will dip to 37 to 42 degrees, remaining clear and calm. Sunday’s high will also approach 58 degrees before rain arrives later in the day.

Looking ahead, a midweek cool-down will drop temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs in the 30s to low 40s and lows in the 20s. However, by late next week, warming conditions will return, with highs back into the 50s. Forecasters also note a slight chance for snow next weekend, but details remain uncertain.

Plan ahead for the week’s shifting conditions and prepare for cooler nights early in the week.
