St. Charles County, MO – Drivers on Interstate 70 in Missouri will encounter a temporary overnight closure of the eastbound exit ramp to Foristell as part of ongoing highway improvements in St. Charles County.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), the ramp at Exit 203 will close at 9 p.m. Friday, August 8, and is scheduled to reopen by 9 a.m. Saturday, August 9, weather permitting. The closure is necessary to allow crews to install a culvert as part of construction for a new Foristell interchange that will support a third traffic lane in each direction of I-70.

Motorists traveling eastbound who need to reach Foristell are advised to exit at Wright City (Exit #199) and use Veterans Memorial Parkway to reconnect to local roads.

This work is part of MoDOT’s long-term “Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project,” which focuses on expanding and upgrading the eastern stretch of the critical interstate corridor. The $2.8 billion project, awarded in November 2024, will continue through 2028 and includes lane expansions, safety improvements, and new interchanges to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow.

Drivers are encouraged to check real-time updates and alternate routes via MoDOT’s project page at https://www.modot.org/node/73345.
