Missouri Shooting: 9-Year-Old Boy Killed, Two Others Injured Saturday in St. Louis Car Attack

St. Louis, MO – A 9-year-old boy was killed and two others were injured after a car was shot multiple times Friday night in north St. Louis, police said.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were alerted around 9:15 p.m. Friday when a vehicle carrying multiple gunshot victims arrived at a hospital. The victims included a 32-year-old man, a 10-year-old boy, and the 9-year-old who later died from his injuries.

Investigators determined the shooting took place near Bircher Boulevard and Ruskin Avenue. Homicide detectives responded to the scene and have taken over the investigation.

The department said detectives are working to determine a motive and continue canvassing the area for leads and surveillance footage. They are urging anyone who lives or works in the vicinity of I-70 near Union or Bircher and may have relevant information or security footage to come forward.

No arrests had been reported as of Saturday.
